Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation is recruiting for 386 vacancies in LMRC by conducting the exam in Uttar Pradesh State. The application process has been started according to the schedule released by the LMRC. The application forms are made available by the LMRC on the official website. Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation is recruiting for 386 vacancies on 11 posts. The eligibility criteria for each post is given below in the table. The candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying.

The admit card for to appear in the Written test/Psycho Aptitude Test/medical fitness test has been released by the LMRC on the official website www.lmrcl.com. The admit card for the recruitment test is not being sent by post. The candidates need to download the admit card from the official website, or they can get the same from the link provided on the “Admit card” page. The link is already provided there but the link is now active.
The written test will be in Objective type, Computer-based Test(CBT) with the duration of 02 hours. The question paper will be bilingual, in Hindi & English language. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions on
- General English to judge the knowledge of English language
- General Awareness
- Logical Ability
- Quantitative Aptitude and/ knowledge of the discipline/trade.
The question paper will contain 140 questions for categories E-01 to E-10 & from NE-01 to NE-08. Each carrying equal marks. And there will be 100 question for categories from NE-9 to NE-11. Each carrying equal marks. There is a scheme of negative marking of 1/3 on every wrong answer marked by the candidate.
All candidates who will clear the written test shall have to undergo the Medical Fitness Test and meet the medical standards as per Indian Railway Medical Manual for various posts. The Job of Station Controller cum Train Operator /Customer Relations Assistant requires the highest standard of Medical Fitness including a naked vision of 6/6, So the candidate meeting the required medical standard may only apply. The candidate who will found medically unfit, Candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by LMRC.
The result of the different test will be declared once the whole examination process will be over. All candidates shall have to undergo the medical fitness test and should meet the medical standards as per Indian Railway Medical Manual for various posts. And candidates also have to go through the written test as well. So only those candidates who will meet the medical standards set by the authority can able to attend further process in the recruitment process. Note: LMRC reserves the right to introduce additional phase of written examination in compelling circumstances for screened candidates on the basis of performance in written test and decision regarding calling such number of candidates shall be decided by LMRC only.
Training & Probation Period & Surety Bond
The selected candidates on appointment will be on Probation for a period of two years (including a period of training), where they will undergo intensive training for the prescribed duration. LMRC has right to enhance or reduce the training period. During the probation period candidate has to go through the various examination.
The candidates selected under post Executive cadre & Non-executive will have to deposit cost of Training through demand draft in favor of “Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Limited” before joining in LMRC. The Training Fees will be refunded after completion of three years service excluding LWP/Extraordinary leave.
Cost of Training have to paid by the candidates
- The candidate selected for the post under Executive cadre will also have to submit a Surety Bond of Rs. 3,00,000 plus GST to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years.
- The candidates who will be selected under post Non-executive Cadre except Maintainer have to submit the Surety Bond of Rs.1,50,000/- with GST to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years
- The candidates selected for the post of Maintainer will have to execute a surety bond of Rs 75,000/- with GST to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years.
The candidate who will clear each and every step of the recruitment process of LMRC will be finally selected by the LMRC. The candidates will get the salary according to pay scales under the IDA (Industrial DA) as applicable from time to time and other benefits which include Perks etc.
